The New York Times Editorial Page Reluctantly Accepts Facts

We should all be aware of the fact that the New York Times editorial page hates, hates, hates Rick Perry. In the event that there is any doubt, the Times editors go out of their way to make their hatred plain and clear to even the most obtuse by stating that Perry “is one of the least thoughtful and most damaging state leaders in America.” But even Times editors have to admit that Rick Perry doesn’t deserve to be indicted. Oh sure, they accuse Perry of “bad judgment,” because apparently, they have to accuse him of something. But that’s about all they are able to muster in terms of a bill of particulars against Perry.

I said in my initial post that “anyone who has applauded the indictment and called on Governor Perry to step down–I am looking at you, Texas Democratic party–is going to end up looking rather bad in the relatively near future.” I see no reason whatsoever to back away from that statement.
